Jorginho’s ability to do all these, even under the most extreme circumstances easily picks him out of an ocean of midfielders. The ability and vision to not just pick out subsequent passes, but also accurate ones too makes him worthy of the midfield maestro position, similar to Sergio Busquets at Barcelona.
Jorge can be said to be lacking defensively due to his smallish build, which technically makes it difficult to impose on opposition players physically, nevertheless, his ball retrievals are second to none.His ability to chase down opposition players and force to them to misplace passes contributes to this.
His tactical intelligence and positional awareness makes him one of the best box to box midfielders presently. His style of play also presents him as a deep playmaker, contrary to popular opinion presently, the 27 year old makes as much forward passes as he does sideways.
Jorge Luiz is also an accurate and fantastic penalty taker, a stat unknown to many.
