As though Klopp’s men are top of the league, they are not top of their game. The reds have arguably the best attacking stats in the league with Coutinho, Mane and Firmino being the stand out players. However, they have the poorest defensive record in the top 6 and the worst clean sheet record in the league (1 clean sheet, alongside Hull City who sits deep in 18th on the log).
Everybody is happy, they are playing a fantastic football, most think it is better for them to focus on their success and don’t allow what might befall them in the future to distract them but truth be told “because we were focusing on their success, they lost the league 5 games to go back in the 11/12 season to Manchester City on 2 painful points,It was in their hands but they also got carried away with their success”

Doubtless you won’t need reminding, but it would look very odd if I left this top spot blank. Going into the final day City were top of the league, ahead of United on goal difference. However, a Wayne Rooney goal at Sunderland gave United the advantage. A 39th minute goal from Pablo Zabaleta put City back on top at half time. In a stunning second half that anyone that witnessed will never forget, Djibril Cissé equalised for QPR. Shortly after all hell broke loose when Joey Barton was sent off for elbowing Carlos Tévez; on his way off the pitch, he kicked Sergio Agüero, attempted to headbutt Vincent Kompany and squared up to Mario Balotelli. Despite the numerical advantage, City went behind after Jamie Mackie gave QPR the lead on 66 minutes. As time dwindled it looked like United would win the title with their victory over Sunderland. Queue utter madness. Edin Džeko equalised for City in the 92nd minute. United players waited on the field at Sunderland for their trophy presentation, but City’s Sergio Agüero had different ideas, scoring the game winner in the 94th minute to clinch the title on goal difference, Balotelli had his 1st and last ever league assist in his Manchester City career that very day. Literally, jaw-dropping stuff. Relive it, it never ceases to amaze… but if only Manchester United conceded lesser than they did (33 compared to City’s 29) and scored a little more than they did (89 compared to City’s 93) tables might have turned.

Conceding whooping 14 goals in just 11 games is a problem looming, games will come where your attackers would have bad days at the office, injuries destabilizes teams most times and also, with one of the power houses, Saido Mane, leaving for the AFCON in January, the future doesn’t seem good. The earlier Jurgen Klopp solves this problem, the better for the kops.

Liverpool are currently on top of their game kudos to the manager for finding the right balance but as you have rightly pointed out,they’re conceding much and this has to stop to make them stronger amongst other competing teams. If Mane leaves,the onus is on the gaffer to figure out another way or try incorporate Daniel into the forward line for new dimension.
